The Charlotte- Mecklenburg Continuum of Care is charged by the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NC DHHS) to submit a community-wide application for Emergency Solution Grant (ESG-CV) funds. This additional funding was made available through the CARES Act in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg CoC is eligible to apply for $1,699,277.
This announcement serves as the opportunity for agencies to submit project applications for funding through this ESG-CV funding Competition.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Step 1: Review the NC DHHS funding announcement, which includes allowable activities.
Step 2: All interested agencies are encouraged to attend an informational webinar hosted by NCDHHS to be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 12:30pm-2pm.
RFA Instructional Session and Q&A
All prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to attend the RFA Webinar being offered by the NC DHHS ESG Office to review and discuss the ESG-CV Round 1 Funds. The webinar will be recorded and posted on the NC ESG Office for those who are unable to attend.

Step 3: Agencies applying for prevention or rapid re-housing projects complete the application including the Back @ Home sections & the project budget worksheet and submit along with supporting materials here and to [email protected].
Agencies applying for street outreach or shelter operations projects complete the application & the project budget worksheet and submit along with supporting materials here and via email to [email protected].
Step 4: An ad-hoc Ranking Committee made up of 5 CoC Governing Board members will review applications and make recommendations for funding.
Agencies that are not recommended will be provided a written explanation for the reason(s) for not being recommended and will be offered support and technical assistance to improve deficiencies identified during the application process.
SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
All applications must be submitted as directed in Step 3 and also be sent to [email protected] by 5pm on Friday, July 10, 2020 to be reviewed in time for final submission by July 17, 2020. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be reviewed or considered.
