Coordinated Entry | NC 2-1-1
Effective, March 19, 2020, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Coordinated Entry will shift all in-person assessments to phone-based assessments. NC 2-1-1 remains the point-of-entry for all Mecklenburg County residents who are facing a housing crisis. NC 2-1-1 staff will direct all households who are literally homeless and/or actively in need of an emergency shelter bed to a Coordinated Entry hotline number. Coordinated Entry staff (currently Megan only at this point; we will assess daily whether this needs to be expanded to additional staff) will answer the hotline, providing phone-based assessments during normal business hours (Monday – Friday; 8am – 5pm). In addition, information will be updated on the Coordinated Entry hotline voicemail.
